1. Who we are

Vehicle Scouter ("we", "us") is a UK-based sole trader operating at vehiclescouter.com. The service is currently intended for UK customers only. The owner's full legal name and contact address are available on written request to info@vehiclescouter.com.

2. What the service does

We help you research used cars in the UK. The free service includes a guided car finder, MOT history lookup using the official DVSA API, and basic listing analysis. Paid Full Reports (£2.99) unlock deeper detail for a single specific car (faults, running costs, performance, viewing checklist, downloadable PDF).

3. Informational only — not advice

Everything we show is for general information. We are not a mechanic, dealer or regulated financial adviser. Always view a vehicle in person and, where appropriate, commission a professional independent inspection before buying. We do not guarantee accuracy of third-party data (DVSA, owner forums, listing sites, market prices).

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Limited, who act as the payment processor and handle VAT. Prices include UK VAT where applicable. A receipt is issued by email.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for any activity under your account. You may delete your account by contacting us.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service, scrape it, resell access, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access if the service is misused.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
